It’s that special time of year again – time for the summer’s hottest tournament series, the 2017 Super Millions Poker Open. This is the fourth Super Millions (formerly the Summer Millions) here at Ignition Poker, and it’s even bigger and better than last year’s festival, with over 100 tournaments to choose from and $2.5 million guaranteed to be won. It all begins this Saturday, but you can win your seat right now for as little as 55 cents through one of our daily qualifiers.
There’s something for everyone on this year’s SMPO schedule, but the tournament everyone’s talking about is the $300,000 Guaranteed Main Event on August 13. This is the one everyone wants to play; the SMPO Main Event is one of the biggest major tournaments of the summer, and people are already “sattying” their way in through the qualifiers. If you’re taking this path, remember: You can only win one seat per tourney, and once you qualify, you must play the event or get blinded off.

This year’s Super Millions also features five SMPO Special tournaments, one for every Sunday during the festival, and each with $110,000 in guaranteed prize money. There’s another $100K on the line at the High Roller on July 30. And you’ll have multiple opportunities to play for five figures, across a wide variety of tournaments from Knockouts and Hyper-Turbos to Shootouts and Super Stacks.
There’s more than just no-limit Texas Hold’em on the SMPO schedule, too. You’ll have well over a dozen different chances to play Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo, both pot-limit and fixed-limit. There’s even an old-school fixed-limit Hold’em tourney on July 28, and it’s a Turbo with giant starting stacks of 10,000 chips.
You can play up to 20 tournament tables at the same time when you play at Ignition Poker, so you won’t have to miss any of the action – or you can pick and choose the games that best fit your style. Either way, make sure to check out our recent series of helpful tournament strategy articles to get you prepared, and best of luck at this year’s Super Millions. We’ll see you at the tables.
